Before You Begin — Non-Negotiable Eligibility Requirement
To ensure all interactions remain lawful and responsible:
Any user seeking to test or participate in a hosted shooting experience through TryMyGuns must bring one of their own legally owned firearms to the shooting range.
This requirement serves as a practical verification that the participant:
- Is legally eligible to possess firearms
- Has previously undergone a lawful background check through the appropriate transfer process in their state
If a user arrives without their own firearm, the owner must cancel the agreement immediately and leave the premises.
This policy is non-negotiable and exists to protect all parties and uphold the integrity of the platform.

Safety and lawful conduct are mandatory.
Helpful Tip for Owners
Many firearm owners maintain a range membership. Annual memberships typically cost $250–$350/year and often allow guests without additional entry fees.
Without a membership, both parties may each pay a daily range fee, typically $20–$25 per person — making a membership a smart investment for active hosts.

Users assume full responsibility for their actions during all interactions.

Users are responsible for understanding and complying with the laws in their jurisdiction.
Platform Integrity & Enforcement
To preserve the safety and intended purpose of TryMyGuns, we reserve the right to immediately and permanently remove users who misuse the platform.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Listing firearms with no genuine intent to allow lawful range-based testing
- Using listings to advertise private firearm sales
- Setting excessive 'rental' pricing to avoid legitimate meetups
- Repeatedly refusing agreed-upon lawful sessions
- Engaging in or attempting illegal activity of any kind
TryMyGuns is not a firearm sales marketplace. Any attempt to circumvent platform policies will result in account termination.
